Melbourne Cup Lunch 2015


Performing at the lunch is award winning singer-songwriter, Shannon Noll and country artist, Amber Lawrence. Fellow country singer, Melinda Schneider and radio legend Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson will be co-hosting the event.

Melinda Schneider

Melinda Schneider has nine albums under her belt, earned herself two Gold records and has won numerous awards, including six CMAA Golden Guitars. She is absolutely thrilled to be hosting the first ever Golden Stave Melbourne Cup charity lunch alongside Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson. Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson is an Australian broadcasting legend.

From Triple J to WSFM, Triple M and 2SM, ‘Dano’ has had a vast and highly successful career in radio across the country. Known for his on air partnership with friend Jono Coleman, they worked across Australia’s airwaves for many years. He has interviewed stars like Paul McCartney, Whoopi Goldberg, Keith Richards, Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. ‘Dano’ is the creative consultant and spokesperson for Autism Awareness and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this event .

Shannon Noll

Shannon Noll became a household name in 2003 when he finished runner-up in Australian Idol.

With a range of ARIA of APRA nominations under his belt, an MTV Australia Video Music Award and the release of chart topping singles, the loveable boy from the bush has been touring and recording ever since.

Amber Lawrence

Amber Lawrence is a golden guitar and CMC Awards winner and has released a number of albums.

The country singer performs over 100 shows per year and is very passionate about mentoring children through music programs. She has performed 200 shows already around the country for kids.

The Radiators

The Radiators are an Australian pub rock band formed in September 1978. Mainstay members are Brian Nichol on lead vocals and guitar, Stephen "Fess" Parker on lead guitar and Geoff Turner on bass guitar and Mark Lucas on drums. Their most popular albums are Feel the Heat (March 1980) and Scream of the Real (May 1983), which both peaked in the top 25 of the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart.

Their best known songs are "Coming Home", "No Tragedy" and "Gimme Head". Rock music historian, Ian McFarlane described the group as "an archetypal, hard-working pub-rock band capable of delivering tightly crafted, well-executed, hard-hitting metal-pop anthems backed by a playful sense of humour. The band toured constantly, racking up over 2500 gigs by the early 1990s".

The Golden Stave 2015 Melbourne Cup Charity Lunch will be held on 12.00 pm - Tuesday November 3rd, at the Sheraton On The Park Hotel, 161 Elizabeth St, Sydney. The dress code is your best Race Day Cocktail.
