Be Centre - Testimonial

Dear Larry,

Thanks to the generosity of The Golden Stave Foundation, 10 of Be Centre’s Play Therapists recently completed Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) training. This training allows children to reconnect with their parents through meaningful and playful interactions, creating moments of joy, trust, and understanding that last well beyond the therapy room.

Your support has given children the opportunity to be truly seen, heard, and understood.

Every child who comes to Be Centre carries their own story, often filled with big feelings such as anxiety, grief, or trauma. While individual Play Therapy helps children process these emotions, lasting healing occurs when the parent-child bond is strengthened.

Through PCAP, children experience more joy and connection with their parents, feel safer and more secure in their family relationships, and have their feelings validated and understood. For many, these moments of connection can transform their everyday life, providing confidence, hope, and resilience.

The PCAP training has equipped our Play Therapists with practical tools to guide parents and children in playful, connection-focused interactions. These techniques ensure that sessions are child-led, joyful, and meaningful. One clinician shared, “Watching a child light up when a parent finally joins in their play… that is why we do this work.” Through these skills, our clinicians can create powerful experiences that foster trust and attachment, and that help children feel valued and safe.

With this training, Be Centre therapists can offer structured, playful sessions that strengthen family bonds. Parents gain confidence and insight into their child’s world, while children feel valued, supported, and loved. This directly improves children’s wellbeing, giving them opportunities to flourish and thrive within the security of their family connections.

The impact of this training will extend far beyond the initial sessions. More children will experience trust, joy, and attachment with their parents, while parents will feel empowered to respond sensitively to their child’s needs. PCAP will continue as an integral part of Be Centre’s services, offered both alongside individual Play Therapy and as a stand-alone program for families seeking additional support.

None of this would be possible without The Golden Stave Foundation. Your support has directly touched the lives of children, giving them the gift of being seen, heard, and loved. Together, we are helping children grow stronger, play more freely, and flourish within the loving connections of their families. Thank you for putting children first.

Thanks again and kindest regards,
