Lunch Day 2006

The 2006 Golden Stave Lunch was held on Friday, 30th June at the Hordern Pavilion with a 'Dancing' theme. The fantastic result of $750,000 was raised for various childrens charities - acts performing were "Burn The Floor", Bobbi's Pole Dancers, Dein Perry's Tap Dogs, John Paul Young, You Am I and Melange Dance. The Golden Stave Handicap was won by Universal Music who generously donated their $28,000 winnings back to the Stave, as did 2nd and 3rd placegetters. The highlight of the Golden Stave Auction was Gary Johnston of Jaycar buying the fabulous Rolling Stones auction item, with thanks to EMI Music, for the record amount of $31,000.
